What am I up to these days?
Having recently rejoined the ranks of the unemployed, I've been knocking the dust of my resumé and today I actually felt comfortable enough to submit it for an application to a software firm in the local area. Yesterday, I did a bit of consulting work, which I hope to continue, and it seemed to go pretty well.
It's good to know that my extensive experience and knowledge of the Macintosh platform is worth teaching to others. Even though I still see myself creating software in the long run, I'm glad that I at least have another skill I can use to earn a living, if necessary.
One resource I'm lucky to have is my school's career center. It's got an online component which let's me search for and easily apply for jobs. Until I find some solid work, I'm going to be making good use of it. It's just to easy not to use.
